Some believed it was the First City, built by the universe itself. Some said it was the
God of Cities, who made all others in its image. Others insisted it was the reflected, cumulative spirit of all the cities that have ever been erected.
The truth no longer matters. They are all gone, and Celestia remains.
In its endless existence Celestia has had many tenants. Every pantheon that has come to power has taken up residence here at one time or another, dictating the affairs of mortals from this holiest of places until their time was past.
Here, at Time's End, there are no more gods or supplicants, but Celestia endures. It casts light onto a void incapable of seeing it, and waits.
