Approaching Zero Hour
by Jeff Patterson on 06/17/12
Moving day is soon upon us. Dismantling Bad Day Studio has been tiring. In the 15 days since accepting the job the work has been frantic. Made a cargo run down to VA a couple days ago, and we're in the closing stages of packing. I've been too busy to reflect on how I'll miss Waterfire and Readercon this year, or how excited I am about being near Luray Caverns and Space Shuttle Discovery. Most of the stuff I gave away found good homes with people genuinely excited to receive it. There's too much significance and emotion bouncing around me now to be profound or poetic, so I'm treating this as nothing more than what it is: a change. Bigger than usual, yes, but a change nonetheless.
And I'm so glad this isn't happening in Winter...
