Over at SF Signal I consider the effects of cultural standards over time and look at science fiction/fantasy TV characters you would never see on the air today. Meanwhile at Kirkus Reviews John DeNardo schools us on Generation Starships: Fiction and Fact. Centauri Dreams ponders missions and nearby stars. Discovery reports that black holes may slingshot stars to hyperfast velocities. Greg Anderson at The Space Review looks at the perception of risk involved in manned space travel. And Strange Enough interviews one of my favorite science writers Clifford Pickover.
